The Girl Scouts of the USA are adding two brand-new cookies to the lineup in January, and neither one is a standard box of Thin Mints. First up: Patch Pals, the organization’s first-ever cookie made for dogs. They’re blueberry muffin flavored and were developed with Bark, the New York dog treat and toy company.
The second addition might matter even more. Sparkables are the first allergy-friendly Girl Scout cookie, a crunchy oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips and sprinkles, made with Partake Foods in a facility designed to avoid nine major allergens. For families who’ve had to skip cookie season entirely, that’s a big deal.
