In a remarkable tale that could have been pulled straight from a family-friendly movie, a loggerhead turtle named Crush found herself in quite the predicament after being swept off course by Storm Goretti. Discovered on the shores of Jersey Island, this young turtle was deemed“cold stunned,”a condition that left her in need of urgent care. Thankfully, she was rescued by veterinarian Peter Haworth, who quickly recognized that her journey wasn’t just about recovery; it would require some creative thinking to get Crush to her long-term care facility.

Flying her across the English Channel by boat didn’t seem like the best plan given her fragile state, so Peter turned to Loganair for help. To everyone’s surprise, Crush was granted a First Class ticket for her flight to Southampton. With the care of the airline’s crew, she made the trip in style, which is something we could all learn a thing or two about from this little turtle! As she prepares to be released back into her natural habitat come spring, Crush is shaping up to be a true survivor—and a First Class traveler at that!
