Ella Langley’s“Choosin’Texas”has officially become the longest-running No. 1 in Billboard Hot 100 history, spending 23 weeks at the top of the chart. The record was previously held by Mariah Carey’s“All I Want For Christmas Is You,”and if that feels like a big deal, it’s because it is. The song dropped back in October 2025 and was co-written by Langley with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor.
Country is showing up everywhere on the chart right now. The top three spots on the Hot 100 all belong to country artists: Stella Lefty’s“Boston”at No. 2 and Morgan Wallen’s“Been By Now”at No. 3. Langley’s sophomore album,“Dandelion,”has also returned to No. 1 on the album charts. On top of all that, she’s the top nominee at the 60th Annual CMA Awards with nine nominations, including entertainer of the year.
What fans love most, though, is how Langley uses her success. She spotlights female openers on her tour and has earned a reputation as a mentor in country music. Fellow artists say a win for her is a win for all women in the genre, because she keeps turning around to help the next artist in line. Which song has been on your repeat all year? Tell us in the comments.
