Dylan Dreyer is officially single, and she’s talking about it on her own terms. The Today show co-host confirmed on her“Parent Chat”podcast Thursday that her divorce from Brian Fichera is done, telling listeners,“As you know, I’m recently divorced.”Page Six later confirmed the divorce was finalized on May 19, months after Dreyer filed on March 10, 2026. The pair announced their split in July 2025 after 13 years of marriage. Child support discussions happened, but the details are sealed, so don’t expect any numbers to leak.

In the meantime, Dreyer has been leaning on her mom, who’s stayed with her for months at a time, and keeping things steady for their three sons: Calvin, 9, Oliver, 6, and Russell, 5. Her take on the split is the part everyone keeps sharing:“There was something we couldn’t fix, so now we have reframed our relationship so that we are no longer husband and wife.”She’s described the two of them as close friends and committed co-parents, which is a whole different chapter than the one they started 13 years ago.

Plenty of people grew up watching their parents split, and plenty of others have been the ones doing the explaining to their own kids. Dreyer’s version, where the marriage ends but the family stays, feels like the script more people are trying to write these days. So, what do you think: can an ex ever really be your best friend, or is that only a TV thing? Sound off in the comments.
