The Kemsley divorce just took another dramatic turn. Dorit Kemsley filed court documents on July 27 accusing her estranged husband PK of using Family Code 2108 to avoid going to trial and to stop making mortgage payments on their family home. PK responded days later with his own filing, claiming Dorit hasn’t paid the mortgage and that her alleged $900,000 wardrobe spending isn’t required by her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills contract.
Dorit is pushing back on that number. She says most of those designer items were returned and that her actual wardrobe spending for season 15 came to about $217,000. That’s still a chunk of change, but it’s a far cry from nine hundred grand. PK is now asking the court to force a sale of the home to preserve equity. Dorit is asking the judge to deny that request. The couple has been locked in a contentious divorce since April 2025, with Dorit seeking sole custody of their two kids, Jagger and Phoenix.
Family law specialist Rachael Bennett says this case has become a“battle of the evidence.”Dorit’s strongest claim appears to be a prior agreement where PK would handle the mortgage instead of paying formal child support. PK, on the other hand, might use the RHOBH contract to paint her as an excessive spender. It’s a lot of money, a lot of legal maneuvering, and a lot of drama. Who’s telling the truth? That’s for the judge to decide. What do you think: should PK have to keep paying the mortgage, or is Dorit’s spending part of the problem?
