Donnie Wahlberg is safe after a scary morning in Las Vegas. The NKOTB star was one of eight people on a private jet that aborted takeoff at Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday and slid off the runway, striking the perimeter fence. The flight was headed to Toronto Pearson Airport. Airport officials reported no known injuries, and two runways were closed for inspection while the FAA looks into what happened.

Wahlberg wasted no time addressing it on Instagram, and his message was all gratitude.“These pilots saved our lives. And God covered us,”he said, noting that the crew managed to avoid heavy airport vehicles and equipment on the way down. He added that the airplane“took some lumps — but we did not.”The timing is wild: this all went down just hours after Wahlberg wrapped the final show of New Kids on the Block’s Las Vegas residency.

Travelers at Harry Reid dealt with delays throughout the day as crews inspected the runways. As for Wahlberg, he’s clearly counting his blessings and giving credit where it’s due. Have you ever been on a flight where the crew turned a scary situation into a safe landing? Tell us in the comments.
