Dolly Parton’s lifelong dream of launching her own coffee brand became reality Tuesday with the debut of Cup of Ambition, a partnership with Community Coffee that arrived just in time for National Coffee Day. The name pulls straight from her anthem“9 to 5,”and the rollout includes a Sip&Sample Tour with a Dolly Coffee Trolley stopping at the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and other fan-favorite spots. The first cups were even sold at her Tennessean Travel Stop near Nashville.

The story behind the launch makes it sting in the sweetest way. Parton filmed three commercials back in July, weeks before she died on August 25 at 80 after a cancer battle. The first spot premiered Tuesday alongside the launch, giving fans one more chance to see her doing what she loved: working, joking, and pitching something she genuinely believed in. She reportedly chased the idea of a coffee brand for more than 40 years.

Every bag supports Parton’s Imagination Library, the literacy nonprofit that has mailed free books to millions of children, with Community Coffee serving as anchor funding partner for Lafayette Parish. Pick up a bag online or at retailers, and you’re doing more than stocking your kitchen. You’re funding a kid’s next favorite story. So what’s your go-to Dolly song while you sip?
