Doja Cat stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday to talk about her fifth album, Vie, but the conversation quickly turned into a rapid-fire round of life’s most random debates. On the question of life on Mars, she doesn’t think aliens are hanging out up there, but she’s open to microbes like tardigrades, also known as water bears, existing. Jennifer Hudson’s reaction to that little fact was basically all of us.

Then came the plane etiquette question. Doja says shoes off is acceptable only with socks and the right vibe. Bare feet? Absolutely not, and her quote,“If you have no socks on? No!”is going to live in our heads rent-free. She also declared that twelve people is the right size for a group chat, and anything up at fifteen or twenty is way too many.

Ghosts came up too. Doja doesn’t believe in them, but she wants them to be tangible just so she could punch one, because if she can punch them, they can punch her back. She also touched on her fourth grade alter ego Michael, a boy persona she adopted for two weeks, and it’s apparently still appearing in her TikTok feed. Vie is out now and sitting in the Billboard 200 top five. So, what’s your rule on shoes on a plane?
