A Comanche man is facing felony kidnapping and conspiracy charges after Duncan police say he confronted his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend at the Fairfield Inn with a handgun early Monday morning. Brandon Dean Pelton, 40, allegedly told the other man to grab his keys and leave or he would shoot him. Surveillance video reportedly shows Pelton approaching the pair with the pistol and pushing the man by the shoulder before officers arrived.
Pelton was arrested and later released on a $25,000 bond with conditions that he have no contact with either person. He told officers he was legal and that the only thing in his hand was an extra magazine. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 18.
