Charli XCX announced her 2027 UK and European tour behind Music, Fashion, Film, and the lineup is short: Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris. Six shows total. Fans quickly filled the comments asking why the run wasn’t bigger, especially with the album hitting No. 1 in the UK and No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Charli answered directly on Instagram, writing that touring is“really emotionally and physically hard”for her. She added that she’s not looking for sympathy and has huge respect for artists who can handle intense, lengthy, high-octane touring, but she’s simply not one of them and never has been. She also confirmed she shortened her current North American leg, which began Sept. 11 in Philadelphia, for the same reason.
Her comments land in the middle of a much bigger conversation about artist burnout and mental health on the road. Charli’s approach is less about canceling and more about scaling back to a size she can actually sustain. Music, Fashion, Film is out now.
Would you rather see six unforgettable shows or a long run where the artist is running on empty? Sound off in the comments.
