Fired After Five Days, Katie Zacharia Says She'd Work for Trump Again

Katie Zacharia’s tenure as White House press secretary lasted five days. She was fired on October 16, and this week she told Piers Morgan Uncensored that she would serve President Donald Trump again“in that capacity or another capacity.”Zacharia, 41, says she’s proud of her brief run and will never break on her loyalty to him. The catch: outlets including The New York Times and CNN reported they could not find a law license for her, despite her presenting herself as a lawyer, and she’s pushed back on those credential questions.

The personal side is just as messy. Zacharia says the scrutiny of her week in Washington was hard on her Democratic mother, and she’s raising four kids aged 12, 10, 8 and 6 through all of this. She insists her family has her back even with the political divide at the dinner table. That’s a lot of Thanksgiving tension in one house.

So the story lands somewhere between loyalty, vetting and family politics. She’s not backing down, the questions about her credentials aren’t going away, and she’s openly campaigning for round two. Would you go back to a job that fired you after five days? Sound off in the comments.
