Brooke Hogan Questions Police Investigation Into Hulk Hogan's Death

When the Clearwater Police Department announced it had closed its nearly yearlong investigation into Hulk Hogan’s death, citing no evidence of foul play or criminal wrongdoing, most people probably thought the matter was settled. Brooke Hogan had a very different reaction—and she’s not keeping it quiet.

In a statement to TMZ, the wrestling legend’s daughter expressed serious skepticism about how authorities handled the case from day one. Brooke says there have been inconsistencies throughout the investigation, and she believes the Clearwater Police Department“missed the mark by not IMMEDIATELY making this a big investigation and not questioning everything and everybody out the gate.”She argues that a death of this magnitude should have been treated as a“taped off, locked down, thorough investigation from day one.”

What sticks with her most is the department’s public acknowledgment of her cooperation—something she felt rang hollow given what she describes as being treated like an outsider during the entire process. Even more troubling, in her view, are the red flags she’s spotted in the official record. At one point, police reportedly told her no blood samples were available, only for investigators to later announce they’d found nothing suspicious in Hulk Hogan’s blood. She’s also flagging that police records contain redactions related to prescription medications for pain and sleep that don’t appear in the toxicology findings.

Brooke also raised concerns about procedural questions. She initiated contact with police within days of her father’s death asking about autopsy protocols. A private autopsy was eventually conducted for the family, but she was never shown the results and says they were never made public. She’s additionally questioning why Hulk Hogan’s death certificate was signed by his personal physician rather than someone from the medical examiner’s office.

The wrestling world knew Hulk Hogan as an icon who defined an era. Now, his daughter is insisting that the investigation into his death deserves more scrutiny than it received. The Clearwater Police Department has declined to comment on her statements, leaving these questions hanging in the air.
