JENNIE just checked a major first off her list. The BLACKPINK star released a snippet of“Someone to Hold,”her debut song for an animated film, and it soundtracks the main trailer for Netflix’s Steps, which premiered today.
Steps reimagines the Cinderella story with a voice cast that includes Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella, Ali Wong as Lilith, Stephanie Hsu, Daniel Radcliffe, and Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother. The soundtrack features four original songs, all written and produced by Justin Tranter, with a dance-driven sound that fits right in on your playlist.
The timing could not be better for JENNIE, who recently landed at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Tame Impala’s“Dracula”remix. Steps and its full soundtrack both arrive on Netflix on Nov. 20. Which are you more hyped for: the movie or the music? Let us know in the comments.
