Barbara Eden fans can breathe easy. The“I Dream of Jeannie”icon, 95, was spotted at the Hollywood Show autograph expo in Los Angeles on Saturday, her first public appearance since she canceled a September gig at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival. At the time, organizers described it as a“sudden illness,”which sent plenty of classic TV fans into worry mode.

Eden cleared things up herself on Instagram. She explained that her doctor had recently prescribed a brand-new medication, and the side effects were rough enough to keep her home. She made clear it was not an illness and called the whole episode“just a speedbump.”While she recovered, singer and actor Pat Boone accepted her Cinecon Legacy Award on her behalf.

The actress, who turned 95 in August, is best known for starring as Jeannie from 1965 to 1970 opposite Larry Hagman. Her return to the fan circuit is a welcome sign that the TV legend is doing well and still happy to meet the people who grew up watching her.

Have you ever had a new medication throw you for a loop like that? Tell us your story in the comments.
