Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Hudson have joined forces for“One Right Here,”an original Diane Warren song written for the upcoming film Maserati: The Brothers. The track arrives on DSPs Friday, October 2 via Decca Records, just ahead of the film’s Italian theatrical premiere on October 15.
Warren wrote the song with Bocelli in mind, saying it had always been a dream of hers to have him sing one of her compositions. Bringing Hudson into the mix, she said, created“this world of beauty.”Producer Andrea Iervolino called the pairing a dream come true that gives the film an emotionally intense ending. The biopic tells the story of the Maserati brothers who founded the luxury automaker, with a stacked cast including Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone and Salvatore Esposito.
There’s Oscars buzz attached too. Warren plans to submit both“One Right Here”and the By Any Means title track for consideration this awards season. If Hudson earns a nomination, she would become the first artist ever to perform two of Warren’s nominated songs. So, are you streaming“One Right Here”the second it drops, or waiting to hear it in theaters first?
