The 76th Emmy Awards are here, and this year’s show comes with a major first: Mariska Hargitay is hosting. The Law&Order: SVU legend takes the stage Monday night on NBC and Peacock at 8 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET, honoring the best in television from June 2025 through May 2026.
The drama category is the headline fight. The Pitt took home best drama last year, and it’s defending that win against a stacked field including Pluribus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and The Diplomat. Over on the comedy side, Hacks is competing in its fifth and final season, but two Apple TV newcomers, Widow’s Bay and Margo’s Got Money Troubles, are looking to spoil the farewell. The Bear is also back in the mix, because of course it is.
Winners are being announced live throughout the night, and the supporting acting Emmys for DTF St. Louis already went to Linda Cardellini and David Harbour. Later, Noah Kahan performs Bridge Over Troubled Water during the In Memoriam segment — expect that one to hit hard. So, who are you hoping takes home the big one tonight?
