A new YouGov survey conducted September 4-8 found a 10-point gender gap in how people would vote on the Lindsay Clancy verdict, with women less likely than men to find her guilty. Even among Democratic women, only 41 percent supported a not guilty by reason of insanity verdict, though it was still their top response. Northeasterners were 5 to 7 points less likely to vote guilty than people in other regions.
