Wladimir Klitschko wants a court’s permission to bring law enforcement into an investigation. According to filings obtained by TMZ, he claims jewelry that belonged to Hayden Panettiere was pawned after her death by a non-family member once connected to the actress. He says the pawn shop won’t release any information without police involvement and fears the items could be sold to third parties.
That filing follows his Sept. 24 request in Los Angeles to be named temporary guardian of the estate of Kaya, the 11-year-old daughter he shared with Panettiere. Kaya lives with him in Ukraine, and he says she is entitled to the entirety of her mother’s assets. Sources close to Panettiere’s family have voiced support for the filing, and a family statement described Klitschko as a great father.
Panettiere died Aug. 16 at age 36 in Greenville, South Carolina. The county coroner ruled her death accidental, caused by the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine. Her parents reportedly disagree over where the earrings she was wearing at the time of her death should be sent. What do you think should happen when a parent dies and a minor child stands to inherit?
