Wladimir Klitschko has filed for temporary guardianship of his 11-year-old daughter Kaya’s estate, according to court documents submitted September 24. Kaya is the sole inheritor of her mother Hayden Panettiere’s estate, and the filing states that an urgent appointment is needed to protect her interests during the probate process.
The documents claim that some of Panettiere’s designer clothing, accessories, and jewelry were temporarily relocated from her Los Angeles home while the investigation into her death was ongoing. Klitschko’s legal team argues that without an immediate appointment, there is a high probability that property belonging to the estate could be lost, damaged, or dissipated before a personal representative is in place.
Panettiere died on August 16 at age 36 from the accidental toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, Alprazolam, Methocarbamol, and Quetiapine, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. Her rep has stated that the investigation remains ongoing and complex. Klitschko and Panettiere were engaged in 2013, welcomed Kaya in 2014, and split in 2018.
