Wladimir Klitschko is putting up $30,000 of his own money to pay Hayden Panettiere’s tax bill ahead of the October 15 deadline, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The retired boxer, who shares 11-year-old daughter Kaya with Panettiere, says he’s fronting the money so the estate avoids interest and penalties, and he’s asking to be reimbursed once everything is formally set up.
Klitschko is also seeking to be named guardian of Kaya’s estate, since she is Panettiere’s sole heir. In the filing, he said Hayden“was, although no longer my partner, an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.”Panettiere died August 16 at age 36 from accidental mixed drug toxicity, per the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
There’s another layer here, too. Klitschko has separately filed documents demanding law enforcement investigate how personal items belonging to Panettiere, including jewelry, ended up in a pawn shop. He warned there’s“a real and continuing risk”those items could be sold or lost for good. What do you think should happen next in this case?
