Vanessa Trump Says Extreme Fatigue Was Her First Breast Cancer Sign — And She's Now Cancer-Free

Vanessa Trump is sharing the detail that could genuinely help someone: the first sign of her invasive breast cancer wasn’t a lump. It was extreme fatigue. In a video with her daughter Kai and Dr. Nicole Saphier during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the 48-year-old described being completely drained by simple things like a Starbucks run, long before her diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma.

She went public with her diagnosis in May 2026, one month after learning the news, and has since completed a lumpectomy and three courses of radiation. Her most recent MRI came back clear, and she’s now cancer-free. She also revealed her cancer was caused by environmental factors rather than genetics — a key reminder that no family history doesn’t mean no risk.

Going forward, Vanessa will have scans three to four times a year for the next five to 10 years. She says if sharing her experience encourages even one person to get checked, it’s worth it. So here’s your sign to book that appointment you’ve been rescheduling: have you had your screening this year?
