Tyra Banks is not letting“Halloween: Resurrection”off the hook. Nearly 25 years after the 2002 sequel hit theaters, she told Entertainment Weekly she still has“beef”with the film because producers cut most of her character Nora’s death scene. Instead of an iconic on-screen moment, her exit happened mostly off-camera, and she’s been salty about it ever since.
The backstory makes it sting even more. Banks said her agent pushed her to take the role by comparing it to Josh Hartnett’s career boost after 1998’s“Halloween: H20.”The pitch was simple: iconic death, big career leap. She says she got neither.“Not only did it not do anything for me, they cut the damn death scene,”she told EW, adding,“So, I have beef with‘Halloween 8!'”
Of course, Banks got the last laugh. She went on to star in“Coyote Ugly”and“Life Size,”hosted“America’s Next Top Model,”and launched her own talk show. The film didn’t make her career, she did. But that doesn’t mean Michael Myers is forgiven. What’s the longest grudge you’ve ever held over a bad job? Drop it in the comments.
