The Voice Battle Rounds are back tonight, and Billboard’s exclusive preview already has everyone talking about Connor Closs and Cal Cook. Both singers landed on Team Adam, and both got handed sombr’s“Homewrecker,”which is sitting at No. 15 on the Hot 100. Cook opens the performance with the song’s falsetto ad libs, Closs grabs the first verse, and the two spend the rest of the battle circling each other while trading runs over that Prince-style groove.

The coaches did not hold back. Kelly Clarkson shouted“wow”at one of Closs’high notes and joked,“I was like,‘where are you breathing Celine?'”Riley Green said the pair could already be a vocal duo, and Queen Latifah praised Closs’runs along with Cook’s grabby vocals. Adam Levine watched with a contented grin before yelling“Let’s go!”at the end, clearly aware that either singer could bring him a fifth win and inch him closer to Blake Shelton’s record of nine.

Only one of them advances, which means tonight ends with a career-changing moment and a tough goodbye. The performance is already being called one of the season’s standout battles, so expect the clip to be everywhere by tomorrow morning. Which singer would you have sent through?
