The Traitors: New Blood Premieres Tonight With 22 Civilians and Zero Celebrities

The Traitors: New Blood takes over NBC tonight at 8 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes, and this season looks nothing like the version you know. Twenty-two civilians are stepping into the castle instead of reality stars and celebrities, bringing the same backstabbing format to a whole new cast of everyday people.

Alan Cumming returns as host, fresh off his third consecutive Emmy win for Outstanding Host. The format is untouched: Traitors eliminate the Faithful, everyone completes missions to build the prize pot, and the roundtable accusations stay just as messy as ever. The big departure is casting. Real people with real jobs means real nerves, and that could make the gameplay even wilder.

There’s one catch for cord-cutters. Unlike the original series, the spin-off is not streaming on Peacock, so you’ll need a live TV service. DIRECTV is offering a five-day free trial that covers tonight’s premiere and then some.

Are you team civilians or team celebrities for this show? Let us know in the comments.
