The Chosen Wraps Filming on Its Final Season After Eight Years and 528 Shoot Days

The Chosen has officially filmed its last scene. The series wrapped production on its seventh and final season at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian, Texas, ending an eight-year run that began as a crowdfunded pilot with no distribution deal and grew into one of the most-watched shows in the world. Creator Dallas Jenkins marked the milestone with a tearful wrap video, thanking God, his family, the cast and crew, and the fans who made it possible, and noted the series totaled 528 days of filming.

Here’s the timeline for the final chapters. Season 6, which covers the Crucifixion, begins streaming on Prime Video November 15, and a theatrical version arrives March 12, 2027. Season 7, the one they just finished shooting, covers the Resurrection. 5&2 Studios says the series has reached more than 300 million viewers worldwide, which is a wild stat for a show that started with fans opening their own wallets.
