Texas DPS is offering a reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to the arrest of James Michael Jackson Jr., a 29-year-old fugitive with ties to Waco and Bellmead. Jackson is wanted on a parole violation warrant issued August 25, 2026, and a McLennan County robbery warrant issued August 31, 2026. He was last known to be in Waco, roughly two hours south of Lawton off I-35.

DPS describes Jackson as 5’5″and 179 pounds, with a scar on the left side of his head and tattoos on the right side of his face, his neck, upper left chest, and both calves. His criminal history includes convictions for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, vehicle burglary, property theft, failure to identify, and possession of a controlled substance. DPS considers him armed and extremely dangerous.

The public is urged to report information rather than attempt an apprehension. Anonymous tips can be submitted online or by calling 1-800-252-8477. If you have friends or relatives in the Waco area, passing this along costs nothing and could make the difference. Have you ever called in a tip that helped law enforcement? Tell us about it on our social pages.
