Texas DPS Offering $6,000 Reward for Wanted Bloods Gang Member Charles Demond Ward

Texas DPS is asking for the public’s help tracking down Charles Demond Ward, a 40-year-old documented Bloods gang member with an active warrant out of Vernon for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. That warrant was issued back in May 2026, and Ward’s record shows he’s had three prior failure-to-register convictions between 2010 and 2019, along with a 2008 conviction for aggravated assault of a child.

His last known location was Gladewater, and authorities say he has ties to Gregg, Upshur, Smith, Wilbarger, and Bexar Counties. DPS considers him armed and dangerous, which means the priority here is awareness, not confrontation.

Texas DPS is offering up to $6,000 for information that leads to Ward’s arrest. Tips can be submitted anonymously online or by phone. If you believe you’ve spotted him, do not approach him.
