Taylor Swift had a very busy Friday. She dropped four new songs on“The Life of Showgirl: The Encore,”and one of them,“Cleveland!,”is an all-out tribute to her husband, Travis Kelce. The track references his Cleveland Heights hometown, the house with the porch where he grew up, and his“New Heights”podcast. It also throws a little shade at the critics, with Swift singing,“So hate all you like / This is the love of my life.”
The lyric getting the most replay is the one about finding one person in this entire world who doesn’t find you completely insufferable. Swift follows it with“I have an important announcement to make: I found mine!”She closes the song with what fans are reading as a wedding nod:“Now I’m wearing white!”She and Kelce married July 3 at Madison Square Garden, so that line hits a little harder than it might have a year ago.
The other new tracks are“Patient Zero,”“Pink Clouding”and“Babylon,”all written and produced in Sweden with Max Martin and Shellback.
