Sugababes are officially back. Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy have announced their self-titled album, arriving February 12 via Sacred Three/The Orchard. It’s the first full record from the original lineup since 2000’sOne Touch, a 26-year gap that ends this winter. The 12-track album is led by new single“Ghost,”out now, with a Thomas James-directed video premiering at 5pm today.
Longtime fans will recognize“Jungle,”“Weeds”and“Shook”on the tracklist, all released last year. The new material pushes into fresh territory too, pulling from garage, Amapiano, dance and orchestral influences. In a full-circle moment, photographer Liz Collins, who shot the iconicOne Touchcover, returned to shoot the artwork for this album. The group describes the project simply:“It feels unmistakably us.”
Sugababes have always been a band about unity, bringing people together and being your authentic self, and that spirit carries into this new era.
