Spotify just became the official music and video partner of the 2026 MTV VMAs, and it changes how you’ll experience the show. Starting today, Friday, Sept. 25, a curated collection of legendary VMA performances spanning more than 40 years is live on the platform, alongside nominee highlights, a Nirvana Video Vanguard hub and podcast content.
The 2026 VMAs air live Sunday, Sept. 27 from Los Angeles, hosted and executive produced by Snoop Dogg, with a Madonna opening performance tribute. You can catch the show on CBS, MTV and Paramount+, and the new VMA destination on Spotify works across mobile, desktop, web and TV. If you miss the live broadcast, select performances from the 2026 show will roll out on Spotify afterward.
