Sia is officially in business with the company that owns pieces of KISS, Cyndi Lauper and Swedish House Mafia. Pophouse Entertainment announced Thursday it acquired a 50% stake in her publishing and master rights. Terms weren’t disclosed, but TMZ reports the deal values her pre-2022 songs at $165 million, with an additional $15 million held in escrow for songs written after 2022.
If that number feels huge, look at what’s actually in the catalog. Sia broke through worldwide with 2014’s 1000 Forms of Fear and its Top 10 smash“Chandelier,”then topped the Hot 100 with“Cheap Thrills”featuring Sean Paul. She’s also written hits for Rihanna and Beyoncé, which means her fingerprints are on way more of your playlist than you probably realize. Pophouse’s Fund I closed at $1.3 billion in 2025, so this is a company making serious bets on legacy pop.
The timing adds another layer. The deal follows Sia’s divorce and a custody settlement requiring $42,500 a month in child support. In her statement, Sia said the songs mean so much to her and that she loves how much Pophouse understands and wants to take care of them. She’s not slowing down either, having released“Awake Tonight”with Afrojack and David Guetta in April.
Which Sia song would you never let go of? Drop it in the comments.
