Sheinelle Jones is speaking out about a fake AI-generated Facebook post that showed her and her three children sitting down for an interview with Katie Couric. The problem? It never happened. The Today With Jenna&Sheinelle cohost shared on Monday’s show that the image looked real enough to fool plenty of people, including, at first, her.“It fooled me, and it’s me!”she said. The only giveaway? A friend noticed that her daughter Clara’s glasses looked wrong in the picture.

Jones also opened up about something even more personal. During the final months of her husband Uche Ojeh’s life, she was fooled by a fake slideshow of photos showing the two of them together. Ojeh died of glioblastoma in 2025 at age 45 after 17 years of marriage. Jones said she wanted to comment on the fake post and tell everyone it wasn’t real, but she was advised not to give it more attention.
