Shaboozey and Gunna Set the VMAs Saloon on Fire With First Live "High Noon"

The 2026 MTV VMAs got a full western takeover courtesy of Shaboozey, who built an entire saloon on stage and then set it on fire. He opened with“Cowgirl,”the second single from The Outlaw Cherie Lee&Other Western Tales, while backup performers played cards, danced, and staged a bar fight. A wanted poster of Shaboozey appeared, a jet-black carriage rolled out, and Gunna emerged to join him for the first-ever live performance of“High Noon.”The saloon went up in flames as the set closed.

The performance lands at a big moment for Shaboozey.“Cowgirl”is nominated for Best Country and Best Cinematography at the VMAs, and the track peaked at Number 11 on Billboard’s U.S. Hot Country Songs chart. The video also features Summer House star Ciara Miller, adding a reality TV crossover to an already stacked night.
