Mattel just announced a Barbie Signature doll modeled after Serena Williams, and the details are everything. The doll’s outfit recreates the look she wore during her 2005 Australian Open championship win over Lindsay Davenport, featuring a green and white cutout top with a matching headband and skirt. The set also includes a tennis racket, ball, and statement earrings for a complete serve-ready moment.
The release marks Williams’second Barbie following a one-of-a-kind Role Model doll in March 2026, which was part of Barbie’s“Dream Team”of eight female changemakers from around the globe. That version couldn’t be purchased, but this Signature doll gives fans an actual shot at owning a piece of the collection.
The launch is pegged to International Day of the Girl, and the Barbie Dream Gap Project announced a donation to Mrs. Rina’s House of Blessings in conjunction with the release. Nathan Baynard, Vice President and Head of Barbie at Mattel, said Williams“embodies that message through her extraordinary achievements as an athlete, entrepreneur, and advocate for equality.”Williams added,“I want every girl who plays with this doll to see possibility, not just in me, but in herself.”Which Serena look would you want turned into a doll next?
