Rosie O’Donnell guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! for four episodes during the week of August 17, and she had a plan for her final night: bring alleged Jeffrey Epstein survivors onto the show. In her words, the idea was to do“the Epstein reveal.”According to Rosie, the show’s answer was that they were certain that could not happen. So the segment never aired.
Instead, she took the idea somewhere no network could stop. On September 3, she posted a video to Instagram of eight alleged Epstein survivors singing Helen Reddy’s“I Am Woman,”a song she says taught her at ten years old to use her voice. Then on September 11, she explained the whole backstory on Jann Arden’s podcast, calling the clip a starting point rather than a documentary, and saying she now wants to tell each survivor’s story individually.
ABC has not commented on Rosie’s claim, and the network is already in a separate legal dispute with the FCC, which adds another layer to the question of what late-night TV will and won’t air. So we want to know: do you think the show made the right call, or should Rosie’s segment have aired? Sound off in the comments.
