Rosalía took over Saturday Night Live on October 11 as musical guest, and she treated both performances like full productions. She opened with“Reliquia,”dancing en pointe for nearly the entire song, then closed with“Magnolias,”which saw rain falling over her in a dimly lit studio. Shane Gillis handled hosting duties for the night, and it marked her second SNL musical guest appearance, following her 2022 debut.

The performances arrived on the strength of LUX, her fourth album, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on five different charts. That list includes Top Latin Albums and Classical Albums, a pairing that says a lot about how far her sound stretches. She also recorded the entire album in 13 languages, which helps explain the unusually wide chart footprint.

As far as SNL moments go, this one had layers: classical technique, theatrical staging, and a pop rollout that keeps paying off. Now we want to know what you think. Did the in-studio rain work for you, or was the ballet number the better of the two?
