Rihanna just gave fans the biggest tease of the decade. During a Fenty Beauty TikTok Live on Wednesday, she was asked how many unreleased songs she has saved up, and she answered in true mogul fashion.“If there are 10 products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults,”she said. That works out to roughly 170 songs. Sitting in a vault. Unreleased.
The reveal comes months after A$AP Rocky told interviewer Jason Lee that Rihanna was already back in the studio.“Yo, she in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe,”he said, laughing like he knew he would catch heat for spilling the news. Meanwhile, ANTI is still her most recent album, and it came out in 2016. Her only release since then was“Friend of Mine”on the 2025 Smurfs Movie soundtrack, plus a show-stopping performance at Jay-Z’s Extra Innings concert at Yankee Stadium in July.
So the question remains: when is the album actually coming? With 170 songs reportedly in the vault and studio sessions confirmed, the evidence is piling up. But Rihanna has mastered the art of making us wait. How many of those 170 tracks do you think we will actually hear someday?
