RAYE has a message for anyone calling her a one hit wonder, and the message is three Spotify billion-stream plaques counted slowly on camera. The British pop star posted a TikTok responding to a commenter, walking through the hardware for“Prada,”“Escapism”and“Where Is My Husband!”and captioning the video“not being petty just saying.”
The numbers back it up beyond streaming.“Escapism”with 070 Shake reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100,“Where Is My Husband!”climbed to No. 11, and“Born Again”with LISA and Doja Cat charted at No. 68 in February 2025. Her 2026 album“This Music May Contain Hope”landed at No. 1 in the U.K. and No. 11 on the Billboard 200, all after a 2026 VMAs appearance that included a medley and a George Michael tribute.
It’s a satisfying full-circle moment for an artist who spent years fighting for her shot. So what do you think? Is responding to online hate ever worth it, or should the numbers just speak for themselves?
