Ray-Ban Meta just gave us a smart glasses option with no camera at all. Ray-Ban Meta Audio is the brand’s first audio-only pair, built for music, podcasts, calls and AI features without a single lens on the frame. Preorders opened September 23, and the official release hits October 13 in two silhouettes: Clubmaster and Burbank.
The specs are solid for a glasses-first device. They come in at 43 grams and deliver up to 12 hours of battery life, with open-ear audio so you stay aware of what’s happening around you. It’s a direct response to the online chatter asking for the brand’s audio features minus the recording anxiety.
Meanwhile, the camera fans got their own upgrade today. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) launched with a 3K Ultra HD camera and a six-microphone array, in slimmer Wayfarer, Aviator and Zena designs. The Aviator is officially in the lineup for the first time, and there’s a limited Milky Warm Beige edition for anyone who wants the rare colorway.
