Pro Bowl Receiver Andre Rison Serves Jail Time for Second DWI

For a guy who once caught passes from some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, Andre Rison is finding himself on the wrong side of the scoreboard this weekend—literally behind bars in an Oakland County Jail cell.

The 59-year-old former wide receiver, who racked up five Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl ring during his 12-year NFL career, is spending the next few days serving a five-day sentence tied to a second-offense operating while intoxicated charge. Court records show the incident dates back to August 2025 in Troy, Michigan, but a hearing earlier this week sealed his fate: five days in custody, 18 months of probation, and over $2,300 in fines and fees. An additional charge of open intoxication in a motor vehicle was dismissed.

Rison posted a $5,000 bond during the case, but that wasn’t enough to avoid the jail time. He was booked into the Oakland County Jail on Friday night and is scheduled for release on Sunday. It’s a far cry from his glory days with the Falcons, Browns, Jaguars, Packers, Chiefs, Raiders, and Colts—or even from his days as a pop culture fixture thanks to his high-profile relationship with TLC rapper“Left Eye,”aka Lisa Lopes.
