Prince William Tried to Shoo Travis Kelce Out of That Taylor Swift Selfie, and He Had No Idea Why Kelce Kept Coming Back

That backstage selfie with Taylor Swift, Prince William, and Prince George and Princess Charlotte was one of the most talked-about photos of 2024. The new detail? William spent most of the encounter trying to move Travis Kelce out of the frame. On The Graham Norton Show, William explained that Kelce kept stepping back in, and he couldn’t work out why.

The reason was bigger than William knew. The photo, posted on Swift’s birthday, became Swift and Kelce’s first social media appearance as a couple, and the couple married in July of this year. William said he only recently learned what that snapshot meant to the internet. Kelce has shared his side too, calling William“the coolest”and admitting he wasn’t sure whether to bow when meeting the royals.
