The speech was cut short by a technical failure, and Harry was forced off stage. He returned 40 minutes later with a joke that landed perfectly: AI got into his speech. The irony was not lost on anyone, since he was literally there to warn people about the dangers of that exact technology.
Once he was back, Harry got serious. He told the crowd that AI“doesn’t just want your attention; it wants your attachment,”and spoke as a father to Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5. He referenced parents who have lost children to recklessly built technology. The trip marked his first return to the US since he and Meghan moved to England in August, and he is reportedly in talks for a documentary about Princess Diana that has reportedly upset Prince William.
