Prince Harry is officially shifting gears at BetterUp. The mental health coaching company confirmed Friday that he’s moving from chief impact officer to senior advisor, a change announced by CEO Alexi Robichaux. After five years in the C-suite role, Harry will now focus on key projects with major enterprise customers and continue the company’s partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation.
The timing is raising eyebrows in the best way. Harry, Meghan and their children relocated to the UK less than three months ago for an extended period, and the lighter advisor role gives him more room for investments, new business opportunities and philanthropy. Robichaux praised Harry as one of the most prominent voices making the case for mental fitness when he joined in 2021.
The announcement also landed on the same day as the high-profile arrest of Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., in Florida. The couple has declined to comment. So the big question: is this a smart pivot toward bigger things, or a quiet step back from the corporate spotlight?
