New police records are drawing scrutiny to Resolutions Living, the Santa Monica sober living facility where Presley Gerber died on Sept. 20 at age 27. According to records obtained by TMZ, officers responded to a suspected overdose at the facility back in February, where a woman was found unresponsive and revived, reportedly requiring at least five doses of Narcan. Police reportedly left without transporting her to a hospital.

Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was admitted to the facility the day before his death and was reportedly visibly under the influence when he arrived. His official cause of death has not been confirmed. Page Six also reports that the facility’s founder, Dr. Reza Nabavi, previously had his psychology license denied over a criminal past involving drugs and a minor.

The story is fueling a bigger conversation about how much oversight sober living homes actually have, and what families should ask before choosing one for someone they love. Recovery is already hard enough without wondering whether the place providing care is safe. What questions would you want answered before trusting a facility with a loved one’s recovery? Tell us in the comments.
