Presley Gerber, the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died Sunday at an undisclosed rehab facility. He was 27. His cause of death has not been released, and his family has not commented publicly.
Gerber spent much of his final year being open about his struggles with substance abuse and his mental health. In November 2025, he posted that he needed to step back and take care of himself for a while. From there, he launched Mental Health Mondays on Instagram, a series built around the kind of honest, uncomfortable conversations most people avoid. He also shared footage of an ibogaine flood dose at a Cancún wellness clinic in March, after which he wrote that he had faced what he had been running from and started finding his way back to himself.
His death raises hard questions about addiction, rehab safety, and men’s mental health, especially for someone who grew up in the spotlight of a famous family. He didn’t hide his recovery. He documented it, messy parts included.
Have you ever openly shared your own mental health journey, or do you usually keep it to yourself?
