Power Rangers fans can finally breathe a little. Phillip Andrew, best known as the Lunar Wolf Ranger on Power Rangers Wild Force, is awake and showing encouraging signs of improvement after undergoing emergency surgery for a serious brain injury, according to a Tuesday statement from his agency, Heroic Talent&Appearances.

The news follows a tense two weeks. The 48-year-old actor cancelled all upcoming appearances“for the foreseeable future”about two weeks before the surgery was revealed, without disclosing his condition at the time. Now his team confirms the surgery was for a serious brain injury, and while the update is positive, they’re clear that he has a long recovery ahead.

Fellow Power Rangers actors Sasha Craig and Jessica Rey have both shared public well wishes, and the Wild Force community has rallied around him online. Andrew, who launched a Power Rangers YouTube channel in 2025, has stayed closely connected to the franchise and its fans long after his 2002 season ended.
