Ozzfest fans, set an alarm. The festival posted a countdown clock Tuesday morning set to expire Thursday at 10 a.m. ET, along with the caption“Countdown’s begun.”It caps off a week of cryptic teasers, including a devil’s head pierced by the Ozzfest logo“O”and a screen full of white question marks. Whatever is behind the timer, it’s the payoff fans have been waiting for since rumors of a reboot started swirling.
Some details are already confirmed. Ozzfest will hit Villa Park in Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham, U.K., in 2027, and the festival is bringing back its first U.S. dates in nearly a decade. Sharon Osbourne said earlier this year she’d been in talks with Live Nation about reviving the festival, which launched in 1996 after she couldn’t get Ozzy booked on Lollapalooza. The most recent edition was a one-day 2018 event at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Thursday’s drop could mean a lineup, dates, tickets, or all three. Fan speculation is already running wild with talk of Black Sabbath ties and special guests. What city do you want to see on the Ozzfest 2027 route? Drop it in the comments.
