Olivia Rodrigo is officially getting into the holiday music business. The pop star announced on Instagram that her first-ever Christmas song,“Take Me Home (4 Christmas),”arrives Thursday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, and preorders are open now. The announcement came with artwork of Olivia in a red Santa hat and a caption where she told fans she’s“so excited!!!”— and honestly, the feeling is mutual.

The timing couldn’t be bigger. Her third album,“you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,”debuted in June and has spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She launched the Daisy Chain Fields festival in August and raised $20 million for women’s charities. Her Chappell Roan remix of“Expectations”hit No. 3 on the Hot 100 in October. Now she’s closing out 2026 with a Christmas single.

She’s stepping into a holiday music space long dominated by Mariah Carey’s“All I Want for Christmas Is You,”with new seasonal releases from Hilary Duff and Alanis Morissette also joining the lineup. Olivia’s first Christmas track gives fans fresh seasonal content and, possibly, a new contender for the top of your holiday playlist.

Are you preordering“Take Me Home (4 Christmas),”or do you wait until after Thanksgiving for anything Christmas-related? Let us know in the comments.
