Nick Cannon is done letting tabloids write his story. The host and father of 12 is prepping a Netflix docuseries about his family life that premieres later this winter, and he says the cameras captured everything.“People have been fascinated with my lifestyle for quite some time, so instead of letting them make up stuff, I’m gonna give you everything,”he told Us Magazine. That includes his life across six households, his 15-year-old twins with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and a tribute to his late son Zen, who died at five months old.
The project wasn’t an easy sell at home. Cannon admits not all of his children’s mothers were initially on board with filming inside their houses, though they eventually agreed to participate for his sake. Bre Tiesi, the mother of one of his children, recently said the six women don’t share one co-parenting dynamic, adding there is no“we”when it comes to how they balance things. Cannon, she says, has to step up for each child individually.
So the big question hanging over this series: is unfiltered honesty the goal, or is it a reality show where the kids never got to choose?
