New York Magazine's First Men's Style Issue Features Elliot Page, and the Internet Is Divided

New York Magazine just released its first-ever men’s style issue, and the cover choice has the internet in a full-on debate. Elliot Page, the Oscar-nominated actor known for Juno, fronts the issue. The magazine says the timing was tied to men’s fashion season, and additional covers featured biological men photographed at the Russian and Turkish Baths in New York City. Still, Page’s cover is the one driving headlines.

Critics online questioned why a men’s style issue didn’t feature a biological man on its main cover, with some calling it alienating to the magazine’s target audience. BlazeTV host Steve Deace told Blaze News the cover amounts to a“declaration of war”and accused the culture of mocking traditional values. Supporters pushed back, arguing that a transgender man is a man and that his style deserves a place in the conversation.
